A family locator app where everyone sees who sees them.
Invite family by phone number. Once they accept, you appear on each other's map. Nothing is one-way, and anyone can stop sharing in one tap.
No location is shown until the other person accepts your invite.
Three steps. The other person is in every one of them.
Invite by phone number
Type their number. They get a text with your name and a link. That is all that happens at this point.
They accept
They open the app, see who invited them and what will be shared, and tap Accept. Or Decline.
See each other on the map
You both appear on one live map with address, last update and battery. Either of you can stop at any time.
Eight things a family locator app does. Nothing hidden.
Live family map
One map, everyone in your circle, updated as they move. Tap a person for address and time since last update.
Invite by phone number
Enter a number, they get an invite, they accept, they appear. How locating by phone number works
Family circles
Separate circles for the household, grandparents, a school trip. People only see the circles they are in.
Places & arrival alerts
Save home, school, work. Get a notification when someone in the circle arrives or leaves.
SOS — free on every plan
One press sends your location and an alert to everyone in your circle. SOS is free on every plan.
Low battery alerts
Get told when a phone in your circle drops under 15%, before it goes quiet.
Check-in
One tap says “I’m here”, with place and time. No call, no typing.
Location history
See the route someone in your circle took today, drawn on the map. Only for people who share with you. How location history works
You cannot locate someone who has not said yes.
This is not a limitation we added. It is how apps to locate family should work, and what makes a family safety app safe: the person on the map is always a person who agreed to be there, and can see exactly who is looking.
Every invite must be accepted before anything is shared.
Everyone sees the list of people who can see them.
Anyone can pause or leave a circle in one tap. The others are told.
Android, iPhone, and the questions people ask before installing.
Is there a family locator app for Android?
Yes. Family Locator runs on Android 9 and up. Location updates continue in the background when the person allows it in system settings.
And a family locator app for iPhone?
Yes, iOS 15 and up. Android and iPhone members appear on the same map, so mixed families are not split across two apps.
Can I locate a family member who has not accepted?
No. Their location is never shown until they accept your invite, and they can withdraw at any time. If you need to find a phone that is lost, use the phone maker’s own service.
Is this a family GPS locator app or does it use Wi-Fi too?
GPS outdoors, Wi-Fi and cell indoors, whichever the phone reports as most accurate. The map shows the accuracy radius, so you know when a position is rough.
How is this different from the find my family app built into my phone?
Built-in tools stay inside one platform. Family Locator works across Android, iPhone and the browser, adds places, arrival alerts, check-in and SOS, and shows every member who can see them.

The best family locator app is the one everyone in the family agreed to install. Five quick questions, then straight into the app.
